Select an auspicious date for the burial based on the lunar calendar.

Accompanied by funeral attendants, the family members of the deceased should burn a small amount of yellow paper inside the columbarium niche. This ritual, known as "warming the chamber," symbolizes that the deceased has a "warm home."

The family members should personally spread a layer of blessed soil at the base of the niche to protect the urn from moisture and insects. The urn should then be carefully placed facing south or west.

After positioning the urn, cover it with a cloth made of gold or silver-colored fabric. This practice, referred to as "gold covering silver," signifies respect for the deceased and represents a prosperous afterlife.

If space allows, items cherished by the deceased during their lifetime may be placed in the columbarium niche as a token of burial with the departed.

Next, sprinkle approximately two bags of blessed soil (depending on the size of the niche) around the urn to fill the surrounding space. This ensures the urn is fully protected, allowing the deceased to "rest in peace."

Once the above steps are completed, the burial specialist will seal the niche under the family’s supervision.

Family members should then present offerings such as flower baskets, bouquets, and fresh fruits on the tombstone, burial chamber, and surrounding open space. Words of comfort may be spoken to express grief and pay respects.

Finally, attending family and friends should observe a moment of silence and bow three times to conclude the memorial service.
